GETTING HERE
Buses run as normal and are not diverted. Dalkey DART station stays open. Access to Mass at the Church of
the Assumption is maintained throughout
Due to limited parking in Dalkey during the festival weekend, we strongly recommend using public transport.
The DART, as well as Bus No. 59 and 111, provide convenient access to the festival.
CAR PARKS
• SuperValu car park — closed for the duration of the festival. The store stays open.
• Church of the Assumption car park — Mass-goers only.
• Circle K, Ulverton Road — open as normal.
No on-street parking on the closed section of Castle Street or its approaches during festival hours.
CLOSURES – CASTLE STREET CLOSED TO TRAFFIC
From the Church of the Assumption car park / The Queens Bar to the former Allied Irish Bank / Maxwell.
Pharmacy, 10:00–19:00 both days. The closed section becomes a pedestrian area.
Emergency vehicles have access at all times.
Cuala will have no parking and all roads will be closed.
CONTROLLED ACCESS POINTS
You will see barriers at junctions around the village — Tubbermore Road and Avenue, Coliemore Road,
Convent Road, Villas (both ends), Ulverton Road, Hyde Road, Barnhill Road and Dalkey Avenue.
These are not road closures. Each is manned at all times to keep through-traffic out of the village.
Residents, businesses, deliveries and visitors have access at all times — simply show your access pass to the
steward.
ACCESS PASSES
Two passes per household were delivered with our leaflet. These are not parking permits — they get you
through the barriers to your home.
DELIVERIES
If you live or trade on the closed section, arrange deliveries before 10:00, or talk to us well in advance.
PARTICULAR ACCESS NEEDS
Reduced mobility, a carer or care visits, home medical deliveries or a blue badge? Contact us before the
festival and we will make arrangements to facilitate you.
